I am a former IT professional turned educator and massage therapist, and the founder of Delia Tarlea Energy Therapy, a private practice focused on sound healing and massage therapy. Alongside degrees in both Computer Science and Massage Therapy (I am currently a New York State Board Certified Massage Therapist), I am also certified as a Sound Healing and Biofield Tuning Practitioner, Reiki Master Teacher, Certified Clinical Aromatherapist, HeartMath Certified Practitioner, and a registered yoga and meditation instructor. Currently, I reside in the scenic Hudson Valley, New Paltz, New York, with my loved ones, including my cat, Eden.
My passion for exploring the natural world, health, and wellness was ignited when I attended my first meditation class in 2001. This marked the beginning of a journey that would be both incredibly rewarding, with challenges great and small.
My journey into the healing arts began with a simple desire to educate, gather, and share holistic approaches to wellness, integrating them into daily life. Living more simply and being connected to nature and our actions became my focus. I taught my first Introduction to Meditation and Healing Breath classes while working as a technologist on the trading floor, and from there, my passion for teaching these practices grew, eventually evolving into my current private practice.
In my practice, sound healing serves as the unifying thread that connects all energy modalities. As vibrational beings, it is my honor to weave soundscapes into meditation and breathing practices, creating a foundation for deeper healing. The energy therapy techniques I offers—ranging from sound healing to meditation and breathwork—are designed to ground and center us in the present moment, allowing healing to unfold on physical, mental, and emotional levels. These healing sessions are offered in-person in New York City and New Paltz, as well as as private, virtual sessions.
I have been both a student and a teacher to herself, navigating my own physical, emotional, and spiritual challenges. Through these experiences, I’ve applied everything I’ve learned, gaining a deeper understanding of the healing arts.
